I have been practising health and martial arts for more than 25 years. I started my early practise with the Japanese arts of Karate and Judo before beginning studying Chinese Arts and meditation at the age of 9. My initial learning being the Lee Family system, Taoist Yoga and Meditation before I later started to study Shaolin Kung Fu, Baji Quan, Chen, Yang, Yang Ban Hou and Sun Style Tai Chi, Xingyi Chuan and Bagua Zhang and Health Qigong.
I was, and continue to be, a full time student of martial arts and was always looking to expand my knowledge and understanding of the arts and myself. To further understand the defence and combat elements I studied boxing, more Judo, Wing Chun, Hapkido, Aikido, MMA, and trained with Karate practitioners. I had competition experience and real life experience all of which I believed necessary to understand myself so that I could be a better person and teacher. I am currently a member the team GB Paralympic Judo squad training to compete in Rio 2016 and find Qi Gong and meditation fundamental to being an athlete and being a parent.
I have been teaching since my mid teens and have had the pleasure to meet lots of wonderful people. I hold the arts in high esteem and believe it is important for teaching to be fluid and experience based. My learning and teaching has and continues to take me around the world. I am grateful to the arts for having informed so much of my life and hope that which I have and continue to learn can be of benefit to others.
